I wouldn't use a reserve but do start it at a price you will be happy with if it only gets one bid.
Make use of all 55 spaces in the title-it doesn't need to be grammaticly correct just contain all the words someone may use to look for that item(check completed successful auctions to what words they use and which catergory).Describe the item like there is no picture and provide pictures that need no describtion.
Box and weigh so you can provide accurate shipping cost and don't go overboard on handling(handling should cover the costs associated with shipping-box,bubble, etc)
If you decide to accept credit card via paypal remember to add that cost into your starting price.(.30 + 2.9% I think).Actually when figuring the price you would be ok with getting remember to add on the fees from both paypal and ebay because they come off the top..Since I only sell rarely I don't take paypal and do fine with money orders and check(hold for 2 weeks for clearence and warn about the hold in your ad).If you accept paypal read ther rules and always use delivery confirmation and insurance if it is more that you can lose.Insurance is for the sellers protection with paypal.
I agree that maybe holding off till you have more feedback would be a good idea on a pricy item-sell some smaller things first.
